Egyptian Gold Slots

Cleopatra slots have long been one of our favorite slot game themes. In Egyptian Gold, there are four jackpots and plenty of other bonus features. Explore our review to see what happened as we played the game.

Here’s Our Breakdown of the Egyptian Gold Paytable

You’ll need to get three, four, or five matching symbols from left to right in order to win. The payouts are as follows.

  • Clubs, Diamonds, and Hearts – 5, 15, and 40 coins

  • Spades and Glyph – 10, 30, and 100 coins

  • Scarab – 30, 50, and 200 coins

  • Ankh – 50, 75, and 250 coins

  • Asp – 75, 100, and 300 coins

  • Cleopatra – 100, 200, and 400 coins

  • Tutankhamen – 150, 300, and 1,000 coins

The other two symbols are the Pyramid Wild which appears on the third reel and will expand the second, third, and fourth reels to grow the game grid and boost the number of paylines to 324 or 576.

The Eye of Horus scatter pays 1x when it appears on the second, third, and fourth reels.

What Are the Game’s Bonus Features?

The Scarab Feature is random. At the end of a spin, the Scarab may randomly fly across the reels and award one of these five bonus features.

  • Free Games Pick Bonus – Win one of three free spins bonus rounds that we’ll discuss below.

  • Jackpot Pick Bonus – Pick from the 12 symbols appearing on the reels and win the corresponding jackpot (Mini, Minor, Major, or Maxi) once you find three matching symbols.

  • Magical Re-Spin Bonus – You get a re-spin after a losing spin in hopes of triggering a payout.

  • Random Wilds – The Scarab turns random spaces into wilds.

  • Wild Reel Bonus – The Scarab covers an entire reel and grows the size of the game grid to increase the number of paylines.

For the free spins bonus rounds, the options are:

  • Guaranteed Super Expanding Wilds with 5 free spins

  • Super Expanding Wilds with a 2x multiplier and 10 free spins

  • Wild Reel on each of the 8 free spins

Game Facts to Keep in Mind

In this Ancient Egypt slot game, the max bet of $3 isn’t that much to risk. We set the $3 max bet for our 10-spin test. This test is important as the game developer doesn’t share the RTP or hit rate. We can come up with an estimated hit rate on our own, and that’s a good way to judge whether a game is a good selection for our list of favorite slot games.

  • Game Developer – RTG/Spin Logic

  • Slot Game Theme – Ancient Egypt, Cleopatra

  • Game Type – 5-reel bonus slot

  • Paylines – 243 to 576

  • Betting Options – 30 cents to $3

  • Game RTP – N/A

  • Hit Rate – N/A

Here’s what happened on the 10 spins at $3 each, for a total $30 stake.

  • 1st spin - $1.50

  • 3rd spin - $1.50

A 20% hit rate was it. It pales in comparison to other slots we’ve played. We tried again to see if the experience would be similar. On our second attempt, the hit rate was 30%. Still not that impressive. We never did trigger a bonus round after 50 spins and stopped trying. Our advice is to stick to a lower bet if you want to play Egyptian Gold slots.
